Escaping outta town!

Hi, it's Ed Walker, and for me, sometimes escapting means filling up the tank and heading out of town to see my two oldest kids, 19 year old Max who lives in Denver and 20 year old Kim who lives in Laramie. In Denver, Max and I hiked Lookout Mountain and payed our respects to Wild Bill Cody who is buried up on Lookout. Afterwards, we took in some bowling and mini golf and wrapped up our visit with a visit to a small but locally famous burger joint and scarfed down some huge delicious burgers! Then off to Laramie on Sunday where I connected with Kim, where we had dinner at a local Mexican restaurant, was wonderful food. I also met her current boyfriend, and while I'm positive that I didn't put the fear of god in him, I'm sure he has a healthy respect for my daughter and all that entails from my end...and of course cleaning my gun at the dinner table didn't hurt either (yes, I'm kidding). Odd thing from the father side. You want to spook the boyfriend enough buy not soo much that your daughter doesn't want to talk to you anymore...lol. It was a good visit. Tomorrow I head home along I80 but not before I stop into Lexington, Nebraska for a lunch visit with my brother, who's a food inspector for the government. Then off to Gladstone, should be home by 11pm at the latest. Doesn't matter when I get home, I always like to get and give big hugs and kisses all around for my wife Jenn and our daughters Alaena and Bella. So...how did YOU escape your weekend? Would love for you to join in on the conversation!
