First off, I hope everyone is taking time to remember what this holiday is about. How many thousands or millions of men and women have died in the history of our country to keep us free? They deserve more than a passing thought! Please take time to reflect of those that have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our great country!
This weekend, it's more patio work as I work toward finishing that project. Luckily I have run out of flagstone, which means I can enjoy a little time off from the project until I can go pick up more at my father in law's place up in Easton. Also looks like I'll need at least another load of gravel for the base. So...while this project is progressing, it is frustrating because I'm at the point where I just want it done...lol. You know how that is, right? :-) Sometimes you just gotta keep your eyes on the prize, so to speak.
This weekend, like so many others, I'll be celebrating Memorial Day with family and friends, across the street from my house in Gladstone. Our neighbor Richard and his wife have invited me, Jenn, and our kids over for a good ol' fashioned American cookout. Richard and his wife are the best neighbors you could have, they're just really nice people, and no weekend is ever ordinary when Richard and I are hanging out. Recently checked out his back deck, it's pretty much your dream deck, or at least it's mine. Covered, with recessed lighting, two ceiling fans, the works. Just a great place to hang out and shoot the breeze, which we did last night over a few cerveza's until about 1am...lol.
